Familiäres Ambiente. Super Lage. Die Austattung ist perfekt, die Zimmer sind geräumig und das Personal sehr freundlich und kompetent.

Morgens leichter muffiger Geruch im Zimmer. Viele Moskitos im Zimmer. Wie alle Altbau Unterkünfte in Cartagena recht hellhörig.

Riesiges Bett! Super gute und ruhige Lage! Eine richtige Oase inmitten des lebendigen Cartagena!

Frühstück gibt es nur bis 10 Uhr. Danach wird direkt abgeräumt. Eine Herausforderung für Langschläfer! ;)

Ein riesiges bequemes Bett! Ein schöner Innenhof zum Frühstücken mit einem, wenn auch winzigen, Pool.

Nicht zuletzt durch das riesige Bett war in dem Zimmer ansonsten wenig Platz. Es gab nur ein Fenster zu einem begrünten Lichtschacht hin. Allerdings gibt es in der Altstadt sicher nicht viele Fenster mit Aussicht...

Wir waren 3 Nächten in diesem noch neuen Boutique Hotel. Es liegt zentral in der Altstadt, glücklicherweise im etwas ruhigeren Teil. Man kann alles zu Fuß erreichen. Restaurants, Wäscherei und Supermarkt sind in wenige Gehminuten entfernt. Es verfügt über nur nur ein paar (ich glaube sieben) Zimmer, die um einen schönen Innenhof mit kleinem Pool und Sitzmöglichkeiten liegen. Hier hat man Sonne, aber auch viel Schatten und kann super nach etwas Sightseeing entspannen, da generell sehr ruhig. Das Hotel und auch die Zimmer sind chic, modern und sehr sauber, da jeden Tag geputzt wird (auch der Pool). Die Zimmer sind groß, haben ein eigenes Bad und ein seeeeeehr großes, gemütliches, Bett (bestes Bett ever!). Außerdem Klimaanlage, Ventilator, Kleiderschrank, Sitzecke und TV. Im Patio wird auch das sehr gute Frühstück serviert, welches man sich von einer reichhaltigen Karte aussuchen kann. Früchte, Kaffee und Saft gibt es immer, dazu kann man zwischen verschiedenen Eierspeisen, Arepa, Müsli oder Waffel wählen. Das wird alles frisch zubereitet. Preis /Leistung super, ggf war es aber noch ein Eröffnungsangebot ;-) Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können das Hotel rundum empfehlen!

Nur wenn morgens das Frühstück vorbereitet wird, wird es etwas unruhig, denn dann hört man durch die Anordnung im Zimmer Stimmen und Geschirrgeklapper. Das Personal ist freundlich, spricht allerdings kein Englisch. Beim Frühstück kann noch etwas optimiert werden. Wenn mehrere Gäste gleichzeitig essen, kommt das Personal nicht ganz hinterher, vergisst den Kaffee oder was bestellt wurde :-) Es wird auch immer eins nach dem anderen gemacht und nicht mehrere Sachen gleichzeitig gebracht. An der Effektivität des Service kann noch gearbeitet werden. Ist ggf in Kolumbien aber einfach so und war auch nicht dramatisch!

Gemütliche Betten

Unfertige Grundausstattung, keine Bar oder Spa wie in der Beschreibung angegeben. Leider sehr unfähiges Personal. Unsere Matratzen waren noch in Plastik eingepackt, nach Nachfrage, ob dies normal sein, mussten wir dann das Plastik selbst entfernen, da das Personal unfähig war. Auch der Bettbezug fehlte bei Ankunft, diesen mussten wir uns aus einem Schrank raussuchen und dann auch selbst beziehen. Lockerer Mamor-Waschtisch. Nach Beschwerde am nächsten Tag hat man sich rausgeredet und sich nicht wirklich bemüht sich für die Umstände zu entschuldigen. Das Personal hat sehr patzig und unfreundlich reagiert! Man hat sich nicht sehr willkommen gefühlt!

Die Betten waren die besten in ganz Kolumbien und die Lage war perfekt. Das Internet war auch sehr gut.

Das Personal sprach leider kaum englisch und war wenig hilfreich. Wir wollten eine Nacht verlängern, was die Dame an der Rezeption verneinte,weil sie augenscheinlich keine Lust hatte. Allerdings waren über booking.com noch Zimmer verfügbar, weshalb wir es dann so buchten. Das Hotel hatte keine Bar wie in der Beschreibung angegeben und konnte nicht einmal Wasser zum Verkauf anbieten. Auch wurde uns das Rauchen im offenen Innenhof des Hotels verboten, sodass wir auf die Straße mussten (Hotel Beschreibung besagt lediglich Nichtraucher Zimmer).

The staff were incredible! Hospitable, helpful, nice. They went an extra mile to help us celebrate my birthday. Location is really good. It's right in the middle of the old city, but is still located on a quite street, so you get some peace and quiet. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in!

There were some water pressure issues on the first two days of our stay. WiFi did not work in our room, so we had to go sit by the pool to get some connection.

Wonderful spacious bedroom. A big shower. The bed is really nice, not too hard, not too soft with wonderful pillows and after 1,5 weeks of hard beds in Colombia this was really satisfying. Friendly staff that can speek English. Location is perfect, in a nice and quiet street but short walking distance to the rest of the old center. There is a big supermarket (Exito) around the corner. Nice to have the possibility to have a swim (it is a small swimming pool but still).

No beds around the pool to chill on so you have to sit on a regular chair if you want to spend some time around the swimming pool and in the courtyard.

The location of the hotel is very good.

The WiFi did nit work and if, only for a few minutes in my room. I had a room next to the kitchen which was noisy sometimes. One night, there was a party till 2 to 3 am. The staff did not interfere.

I was not sure what to expect. After a rough start with the transfer service not showing, the staff made up with their help and service in general. Love the wonderful breakfast every morning. I highly recommend the Waffles with Ham and Cheese. Plus they make an outstanding cup of coffee From reception to the staff maintaining the property I loved what they accomplished on behalf of the property. Friendly, helpful without interfering. The hotel is located in a great spot. Easy to get a taxi or walk to restaurants. The Excito is around the corner for supplies when needed. My room was in the back but I believe most of the rooms are very quiet and protected from outside sounds. The hotel was spotless. The pool perfect for a dip to cool off. The value is above and beyond, and I know if I get the chance to go back I will stay here again. My only recomendation for the property. I wish there was a shelf in the bathroom so we did not have to place the bottles of soap and shampoo on the floor. A few more hooks would also be a a major plus. But this is me nitpicking. Thank you for a wonderful stay, and I highly recommend Casa Arte
